Spring in the city!

So today, I woke up at 2, saw it was beautiful, got some food, grabbed my camera, grabbed my bike, and rode. My bike carried me southward, on sedgwick, and once I got tired I sat down at a park near a school. I started taking some of my first shots here. There were a couple cool people around, so I went out to talk to some of them.

These guys were really cool, and I got a portrait of them.

Just hangin out with some cool people I met.

After I was done, I went around the corner, and found a couple nice pair of buildings to shoot. While I was shooting, some kids stumbled upon me, and we started hanging out. They were great, I let them take some pictures with my camera, and then they all posed for me.

The kids in the neighborhood.

More pictures from todays adventure soon! Check back again later! Untill then, have a great night.

  1. These are fantastic:) They very much remind me of Dawoud Bey - I don't know if you saw his work in the Museum of Contemporary Art - but he does really compelling stuff!
The framing on the top shot is really beautiful: the bisecting line of the ground meeting the building, as well as the other strong geometric lines set a really powerful background for the subjects. Plus, the guy in the foreground has fantastic shorts - not just in a fashion sense - they add a lot of interest to the shot.
    Sorry to ramble:)
